One of my majors is Classical Studies, and practically everything I learn about in my classes centers around the city of Rome. WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO STUDY/INTERN ABROAD?
I chose to intern abroad to widen my world knowledge, learn how to bridge the gap between French and American businesses, and experience a new lifestyle than I am used to.

Why did you choose your study/intern city?

My ideal abroad internship program is located in a big city with a rich culture. Paris is an obvious choice. The city offers many history, art, and entertainment options while forcing me to look at things from a new perspective. The ballets, opera houses, and, yes, some "tourist-traps" are world-renowned for a reason, so Paris allows me to do something unique every day of the program and never run out of new experiences.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO DURING YOUR ABROAD EXPERIENCE?
I am most looking forward to putting my high school French to the test and experiencing everything the city that everyone raves about has to offer.

FUN FACT (hobbies, interests, accomplishment, etc.)?
I am very into reading and am on track to read 50 books this year!

Why did you choose to study/intern abroad?
I wanted to learn, explore, and make a lifelong network of friends from all around the world.

Why did you choose your study/intern city?
I had the opportunity to go on a brief tour of Europe when I was sixteen years old and it changed my life. I spent a total of two days in Paris, France and I encountered so many special people and made so many memories that I knew I had to go back someday. When I went to college, I decided to study French and other international fields because of these experiences abroad. Studying in Paris has been my dream for five years, and coming back and getting to know the city on a deeper level has been so fulfilling.

What are you most looking forward to during your abroad experience?
I am looking forward to exploring the great parks, monuments, and museums in Paris. The history of this city is astounding and I can't wait to experience it. I am also excited to practice speaking French in my everyday life and hope to have achieved fluency by the end of my program.

Fun Fact (hobbies, interests, accomplishment, etc.)?
I love reading! If you find yourself wandering around a park in Paris, you'll probably find me there with my nose buried in a book!

Why did you choose to study/intern abroad?
I chose to study/intern abroad because I wanted to put my language skills to the test and explore the nuances of another culture. By choosing the study/internship option, I am able to get acquainted with the culture in both a personal and professional setting and get a holistic preview of the world of international businesses. I also have admired the French culture for a long time and wanted the chance to actively use the skills I have learned over the last eight years of french courses.

Why did you choose your study/intern city?
I chose Aix-en-Provence because it was recommended to me by my university's study abroad office. I knew that I wanted to be in France, and I had heard wonderful things about the beauty and culture of the Provence region. I have found that Aix is the perfect sized city with plenty of things to do and convenient access to travel. The people here are also incredibly kind.

What are you most looking forward to during your abroad experience?
I am most looking forward to building confidence in my personal and professional skills. Navigating a language barrier, especially in a professional setting, is definitely a challenge, but it pushes me to be better and break boundaries every day. I also look forward to traveling on weekends and meeting new friends!

Fun Fact (hobbies, interests, accomplishment, etc.)?
I am a huge Taylor Swift fan!

Why did you choose to study/intern abroad?
I was supposed to graduate with full credits this past May, but my school made an error with my class schedule at the last minute, so I had to drop a class. When that happened I was very pessimistic I can't lie, but then I realized that I could turn this opportunity into the best finale for college that I could ask for. And I chose to study abroad due because it's an opportunity like no other, especially at this age. I often hear from people a bit older than me that their only regret was that they wished they had traveled more when they were my age. So, I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't have that same feeling as I get older.

Why did you choose your study/intern city?
I chose Florence because it was the best option for my final college credits. And it just so happens that Florence is also one of the most beautiful places in the world. But I chose the country of Italy because I grew up with my grandfather, and I always idolized him. He would often talk about the beauty of Italy and how it was a destination travel for anyone. He passed almost 2 years ago now, and I noticed that the CEA program start date June 23rd was his birthday, so I took this as a sign.

What are you most looking forward to during your abroad experience?
I am looking forward to adapting to a new culture. I have heard that the European lifestyle is very different from the American way, and I am very curious to see the difference. I am also very excited to travel across the country via train, car, or on foot just to appreciate the beauty that Italy has to offer. Moreover, I am just ecstatic to hopefully disconnect from my phone a bit and to just take everything in that life has to offer. Finally, I can't wait to just meet and spend time with the new people that will be on the trip with me.

Fun Fact (hobbies, interests, accomplishment, etc.)?
Some things that I enjoy are playing guitar, going outside being active/traveling and drinking coffee. That sounds like the most basic tinder profile, but hey. I also love to dance for I even took ballroom dance lessons at one point, but to be honest it nearly broke my bank account. Of course like most people I enjoy watching movies/ TV shows during my downtime, and I am looking forward to seeing the new Elvis movie in Italy. Furthermore, I will say that comedy or humor is definitely a big part of my life whether it be in any content that I make, in conversation or during public speeches, which I kind of enjoy. And I will admit I do like going out at bars and being out for the night scene.

In high school my family hosted an exchange student from Madrid and she would tell me about her favorite places in Spain, one of them being Barcelona. Between the people, architecture, art and food, I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else.

Why did you choose to study/intern abroad?
I chose to study abroad because although I have been to Europe many times before, I was always with my family on vacation. I've always wanted an individualistic experience to expand my horizons. My mom took a gap year after she finished high school to work in Canada and growing up, I loved hearing her stories about how much fun she had and how much she grew. This inspired me to want to do the same.

Why did you choose your study/intern city?
I chose Rome mostly because the classes that were offered through the 'Engineering in Rome' CEA program made the most sense for me and my degree plan. I knew that I would be getting ahead by taking engineering courses over the summer while also being in one of the most beautiful cities in Italy that embraces modern trends while also staying true to old traditions and rich history.

What are you most looking forward to during your abroad experience?
I am most looking forward to meeting new people and having the chance to explore such a large city with people who are my age and crave the same experiences as I do. I am also extremely excited to learn about the culture of Italy through its famous cuisine, museums, and historic nature.
