Rob was born in the Greater Philadelphia area, USA, and got his BS from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, majoring in Food Marketing and English. He directed a non-profit organization in the US food distribution sector, and then he moved to Barcelona, where he completed his International Masters in Conflict Resolution from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Rob has more than 20 years of experience teaching courses in Intercultural Relations, Conflict Resolution, Cross-cultural Management, Business English, and Communication at several universities as well as for private clients such as Sara Lee, Bayer, Motorola, and Wrigley. Moreover, he is an Intercultural Consultant for BGRS, Dwellworks and BBi Communication, and has experience in offering online training sessions and presentations for expatriate intercultural programs. He is a founding board member of SIETAR Spain (a European-wide professional association on intercultural studies) and was President of SIETAR Europa in 2009-10. Ariadna was born in Barcelona and lived in London for six years. She graduated from the University of Barcelona with a BA degree in Art History, specializing in Twentieth Century Avant-garde Art. Afterwards, she left for London and got her master’s degree in Museum Management at the University of Greenwich, focusing her research on the examination of advantages and drawbacks of staging blockbuster exhibitions. In 2004, Ariadna came back to Barcelona where she started working as a researcher and project manager assistant organizing history exhibitions before becoming a professor. She has been working at CEA as a faculty member for more than 13 years, and has extensive experience teaching Art History courses on visual arts, architecture and urban design. Ariadna has recently finished a postgraduate course in Contemporary Art at the online university UOC, which she is currently extending to a master's degree. She has specialized in public art, encompassing a vast array of visual interventions in public space from authorized artistic interventions to graffiti, and has designed a variety of cultural activities on this subject. She has a passion for Asian cultures and has traveled to many countries in Asia exploring their art, traditions and culture.See Ariadna's Video
Dr. Marga Carnicé
Social Media: Digital Identity & the Virtual Community
Marga was born in Catalonia and received her Ph.D. in Social Communication from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She has extensive experience teaching at the university level at different local institutions, including Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Universitat de Barcelona, TecnoCampus Mataró-Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Cinema and Audiovisual School of Catalonia-ESCAC, and ESERP Business School. Her area of expertise is Audiovisual and Film Studies, in which she has carried out several research projects, published academic articles and given numerous conference presentations.
Dr. Marina Díaz
Contemporary Spain: History, Politics & Society
Born in Madrid, Marina moved to the United States to get her Ph.D. in History from Tufts University, Massachusetts. She has more than 25 years of teaching experience in college and study abroad settings in Spain, England and the United States and has taught virtual courses at Open University of Catalonia. Marina has been working at CEA Barcelona as a faculty member for more than 10 years and has developed and taught several courses in her areas of expertise such asSpanish history and politics, Jewish history and nationalist movements.
Born in Mexico, Myriam graduated in Industrial Engineering from Tec de Monterrey, Mexico and got her MBA from EGADE de Monterrey, México. She moved to Barcelona, where she completed a Master’s in Research with a focus in Marketing from the Univeritat Autónoma de Barcelona and became aware of her passion for teaching. Since then she has been teaching International Marketing, International Finance and International Business courses at the university level for more than 15 years and has more than 10 years of experience teaching online courses at Open University of Catalonia. Myriam loves traveling abroad, getting to know new cultures around the world but mostly spending as much time as she can with her family.

Alex was born in Catalonia and graduated in Agricultural & Food Engineering from University of Lleida before getting his MBA from ESADE Business School. Alex has been teaching business and management courses at the university level for the last 10 years and has more than 20 years of experience working in Industrial companies, in the areas of Supply Chain, Sales/Marketing and Business development. He is currently working as the European Industrial Sales Manager for SWM International, which he combines with his job in the education field.
