London, England

Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I'm interested in international human rights and legal relations, and London is a hub for diplomacy, culture, and advocacy. Literature was my first love; reading books by British authors such as Jane Austen, Arthur Conan Doyle, and Agatha Christie always felt familiar, and I want to experience the world where they wrote their novels. My family is from the UK, and I have always dreamed of living there to explore my family's British Jewish background.

What IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
I am a tea fanatic and cannot wait to try all of the different teas in England. I'm hoping to travel around Europe and work at an internship I'm proud of. Above all else, I am desperately excited to romp around London looking for bookstores and live shows.

What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I am hoping to take the "Writing the City: London" course. I want to better my skills as a writer and challenge myself to write and document as much as I can while abroad. I'm also hoping to take the "Human Rights in a Global Context" course because it aligns with my research, writing, and career goals. I think it would be so interesting to learn about this subject in the heart of London, a hotspot for diplomacy.

WHAT IS SOMETHING you're passionate and excited about?
I am deeply passionate about pluralism and am writing a book, hosting a podcast, and leading a project called the Divided Dialogues; here I interview people working towards unity around the world and in conflict zones. I am obsessed with writing, reading, and lyrical jazz clubs. I'm an advocate for animal rights, literacy education, and disconnecting from screens. I am excited about cafe hopping around London, hopefully in the rain.
