Providing hospital shadowing opportunities built into study abroad

The Pre-Health Seminar & Shadowing program is designed for students pursuing healthcare careers and who are looking for the opportunity to get observational clinical experience while earning academic credit abroad. Hospital shadowing will help to prepare you for a career in medicine and make you stand out in the medical school application process. Our observational placements (60 hours in the summer or 90 hours in the semester) are powered by Atlantis, a leading provider of health experiential learning that is now part of the CEA CAPA family. All students will also take part in our 3-credit health shadowing seminar, which has been specially designed to help you get the most out of your placement experience.
Rotate through 3-4 departments over the course of your program.
Our 3-credit seminar is designed specifically to accompany the shadowing experience.
Our shadowing follows AAMC guidelines for ethical shadowing.
Earn 3-9 credits in the summer or up to 15 credits in the semester.
Our hospital partnerships are managed by Atlantis, a part of the CEA CAPA family. Learn more about Atlantis by watching this video. CEA CAPA Summer Pre-Health Seminar & Shadowing programs incorporate a full 60-hour Atlantis shadowing program into a 4-week schedule.
