Immerse into Mandarin language in amazing Shanghai. Designed for all levels of Chinese language learners—from true beginners to advanced speakers—courses at Shanghai Normal University combine cultural activities and contact with native speakers, transforming the city of Shanghai into a living classroom. Courses meet daily and include a focus on listening comprehension, grammar, reading, and writing Chinese characters. Chinese language courses are offered at seven ability levels. Courses for beginning Chinese speakers emphasize basic communication skills, while intermediate and advanced levels integrate authentic materials to improve reading and writing skills.
