Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I chose to study abroad because I've always wanted to live abroad at some point in my life, and immerse myself in a different culture and lifestyle than I am used to. Florence seemed like the perfect city to do this because of my passion for art, and interest in exploring both the rich history of art within Italy, as well as trying challenging new techniques that will help me grow as an artist myself.

What IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
Going into this program not knowing anyone, I hope to put myself out there to meet new people and experience all that Florence has to offer! I am excited to find a sense of home in this beautiful city, as well as more fully explore my love of art, which is an opportunity I would not be able to have anywhere else!

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU'RE PASSIONATE AND EXCITED ABOUT?
I am really passionate about poetry! Both reading and writing poetry bring me so much joy, and I am hoping to keep a journal while abroad and write often as I explore the city.

What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
The class I am most looking forward to taking while in Florence is Garment Construction I, which introduces you to all the components of sewing and creating clothes. I am so excited for this class because I have been sewing since I was eight years old, and have more recently started to explore the creative process of making my own patterns and clothes!
