I took two classes while abroad, but my internship definitely is at the top for me. The opportunity that I was able to take on was one that I never thought was possible, I was placed exactly where I wanted. I was given the opportunity to work with an author on her next book as a researcher and editor, while also being able to attend her release party for a different book, and meet her agent and one of her publishers from Penguin Random House Publishing!

I engaged with the local community by being one of the hosts for a writing workshop for students, allowing me to interact with them and help them explore their creativity and improve their writing skills! I also engaged with the community by interacting with locals and learning about what they do (and where the best spots to eat are!) Going on the tube or out to a pub after work was so conversational!
