HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
One of the most meaningful ways I engaged with the local community in Barcelona was through café surfing with my friends. We made a point to visit different neighborhoods, trying local pastries, chatting with baristas, and observing the rhythms of daily life. These small, everyday interactions helped me feel connected to the city beyond the tourist lens.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class while studying abroad in Barcelona was Social Media Marketing. We created mock campaigns and presented them to our peers, which pushed me far outside my comfort zone, especially as someone who used to fear public speaking. By the end of the course, I felt more confident sharing ideas out loud and realized that presenting creative work could actually be energizing, not intimidating.
