HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
While living in London I engaged with the local community by shopping local and attending music and arts events. I was fortunate enough to live in a borough of the city that was rich in the arts and pop culture; so much so that it had multiple music venues within a 15 minute walk of my apartment! I was able to shop small vendors and learn their stories while seeing one-of-a-kind art.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
While abroad, my favorite class was London Museums. This class was such a fun and special way to not only learn about art history from all over the world, but to also learn about the city I was living in. Getting to visit museums every week and move our classroom to the galleries themselves was such an amazing experience which truly made me excited to learn. My professor, Sylvia Lahav was also nothing short of amazing; you could tell that she loved what she did and made everyone in the class feel welcome and appreciated.
