WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class abroad was called Globalization! In this class, we learned about the current modern globalization, including what caused it, and how the entire world can better prepare in the future. This class was especially engaging because it was filled with students from numerous countries including London, the US, Spain, Germany, Egypt, and Australia. In this class, I got to meet so many people, and learn so many different perspectives about common topics going on in our world.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
While abroad, I loved trying local restaurants and coffee shops to study, eat lunch, or grab a quick snack after class. I made a goal for myself to try a new coffee shop every time I wanted to study in order to not only try new places, but also explore different neighborhoods of Madrid. At these places, I was able to meet Spanish people and practice the language with them, which helped me feel more immersed in their culture.
