Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I chose to study abroad in Granada, Spain, because of the beautiful culture and opportunities there. I've had a love for flamenco dance since I was 5 years old, so I'd say that was my introduction to Spanish culture. Once I visited Granada my junior year of high school, I knew I wanted to live there at some point in my life.
What IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
I am really excited to live on my own since I am a commuter student back home. I am especially excited to strengthen my Spanish. My dad is from the Dominican Republic, but I never really learned Spanish growing up. Hopefully, by the end of the semester, I will finally be fluent!
WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU'RE PASSIONATE AND EXCITED ABOUT?
I've always been passionate about dance. I've done it competitively for my entire life, and now I am lucky enough to teach it. Some other interests/hobbies I have are watching movies, taking pictures, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my friends.
What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I am most excited for my marketing class. New York is full of opportunities, but I am really excited to see how international markets work and maybe gain a new lens into the marketing world.
