WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
One of my favorite classes while abroad was the Jewish Experience in Prague because my professor was constantly making an effort to help us understand what it was like historically for the Jewish population in Prague. We got to experience several class excursions, whether it was in the form of a museum trip, acting out a play or reading, etc. I always felt engaged and truly excited to learn something new every day.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
Learning and speaking the language was one of my favorite ways I engaged with the local community while abroad. The Czech language is extremely difficult to learn, however I found it to be a wonderful challenge. Introducing myself to locals, ordering at restaurants/cafes, and general pleasantries were just a few of the ways I incorporated speaking the language as daily practice.
