WHAT
WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class was a cross-cultural management course that challenged me to view leadership, teamwork, and communication through a global lens. It was fascinating to hear perspectives from classmates representing different parts of the world and to apply what we learned to real-life scenarios. The professor encouraged a lot of open discussion and self-reflection, which helped me grow both personally and professionally. I left the class with a much deeper appreciation for cultural awareness and how it plays a role in business and beyond.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
While studying abroad, I made it a priority to step outside of the student bubble and connect with locals. I regularly visited neighborhood cafés where I got to know the staff and practiced the local language. I also volunteered at a community event organized by my host program, which allowed me to interact with local residents and learn more about their culture. Taking time to explore beyond the tourist hotspots—like small bookstores and weekend markets—helped me feel like more than just a visitor. Those everyday interactions made the biggest impact.
