My favorite class while abroad was international business. My professor for this class owns a local business that we toured as a class. As a business student, it was really fascinating to learn about the functions of a business in a completely different culture. This class expanded my knowledge of internal business operations and financing.
HOW
DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
During my time abroad, I primarily engaged with the local community by practicing and developing my Spanish-speaking skills. I had conversations with locals in their native language to gain a better understanding of the culture around me. Through these small conversations, I gained many recommendations for restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and travel.
