I took a Food & Culture course that was so amazing! We learned and tasted delicious food per region of Italy. I learned the history of infamous Italian foods like cheese, pasta, wine, and more!

WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
I studied abroad in Florence, Italy, however, when my family came to visit me I met them in Rome. My sister has been researching our family tree linking us to relatives that live outside of Rome. I had an incredible opportunity to meet my grandmas second cousin! There was four of them and five of us. We went to dinner where we were served a true five course Italian meal that was delicious! After taking Italian language all four years of high school and a course during my time abroad I was able to loosely communicate with them in Italian (as they only spoke in Italian). It was an unforgettable experience that I believe changed my appreciation for my heritage.
