HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
Any time somebody asked to do something, I'd say yes. Whether it was my roommate asking if I wanted to go to the gym, or a local from on elf my classes asking if I'd come with her to the pub, I tried to keep a very open mind. I went to Regent Park and Primrose Hill for picnics with friends and even became friends with the man who ran the convenient store down the street from our residence hall.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
I loved my Monsters class. It was an English Literature elective that focused on the monsters of history. We learned about Beowulf and Medusa and so many more. It was intriguing to learn about these beasts and their origins, how their stories had evolved over the years, and how differently those stories were viewed today. For example, many viewed Medusa as a villain, and while in some ways this is true, a more modern interpretation is viewing her as a victim and survivor.
