My favorite class when abroad was my Spanish writing emphasis class. We would write essays on the excursions we participated in, and would reflect on what we learned. I always love looking back on my essays and recapping everything I did while abroad, it acted as almost a journal for my trip!

HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
While abroad I engaged in the local community by interacting with the locals in Spanish, and traveling to new places. During my trip to Alicante, the festival Hogueras was occurring, so I attended many fire work shows, bonfires, and parties celebrating the festival. I also spent time with my host family, and we always had dinners together every night. I met many people while abroad, in cafes, at the beach, and even when walking the streets. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, so it is easy to engage with your environment!
