Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I chose to study abroad to push myself outside of my comfort zone and fully immerse myself in a new culture! I specifically chose Aix-en-Provence because it was home to one of my biggest painting inspirations, the world-famous artist Paul Cézanne. I’m excited to follow in his footsteps, experience the landscapes that inspired his work, and see how living here influences my own art!

What IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
While abroad, I’m hoping to take advantage of the short flights and train rides to explore more of Europe! I want to experience as many new places and cultures as I can and bring those experiences back into my art and photography.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU'RE PASSIONATE AND EXCITED ABOUT?
I’m very passionate about painting and photography, especially finding new ways to capture the places and experiences around me. I also love staying active by playing soccer, running, hiking, and swimming!

What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I’m most excited for my painting class, where I’ll have the opportunity to paint en plein air, or directly from life outdoors. I’m also really looking forward to our trip to Paris and getting to explore its museums and experience some of the incredible artwork I’ve studied for years!
