WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?

My favorite class was my Madrid Museums class because it exposed me to a ton of unique art history that I didn't know about before. Also, my professor was incredibly knowledgable about all the museums and paintings and gave us a ton of interesting insight about the history of Madrid. It was so cool getting to learn about how Madrid was built as a city.

HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?

I engaged with the local community abroad through going to different restaurants and tapas places each week to try new local foods and drinks. It was my favorite thing to do while in Madrid because there are so many different restaurants to try that give you a taste of the city as well as allow you to meet passionate locals. Also, I immersed myself in the community abroad through attending and watching soccer games (both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid). Soccer is clearly the blood and life of the city and being able to go out and watch the games in person or at a bar was something I looked forward to as a way to connect with Madrid's culture.
