Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I’ve never traveled outside of the States before and always wanted to experience new cultures and communities so studying abroad has always been a dream of mine. After studying Thai for the first time my freshman year I instantly fell in love and decided I had to one day experience Thailand myself, so making this opportunity happen is life changing!

What IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
While in Thailand, I hope to improve my Thai and connect with others around me. I also hope to take trips to different parts of Thailand outside of my university’s province.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU'RE PASSIONATE AND EXCITED ABOUT?
I’m very passionate about mental health, medicine, and helping others in general and learning from other cultures. I hope my time here allows me to learn how cultural contexts shapes mental health and guide my future career (hopefully to also work as a therapist internationally as well)! I want to encourage others to explore their interest in learning about different cultures, languages, and environments to help guide their personal and academic growth and direction.

What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I most excited for my community learning service project at Mahidol University. I look forward to learning from local organizations and addressing needs within the community around me.
