One way I tried to engage with the local community while abroad was running and exploring Barcelona. By running, I was able to see the "active" lifestyle that Barcelona has, especially around the beach and natural areas. I saw many parts of the city and saw how neighborhoods interact. One of my most memorable runs was when I saw a small neighborhood movie gathering in the streets where they held a mini film festival. I truly saw how the local community can come together during that run!

My favorite class I took abroad was digital marketing! The material was relevant and included cultural elements, and covered all the main aspects of digital marketing. The professor was also one of my favorite professors I've ever had and made class much more engaging and fun! The skills I learnt in this class has carried over and helps me now during my current internship!
