My favorite class while abroad was Sports Marketing because it gave me the opportunity to connect what I was learning in class to real experiences in Barcelona. One of my favorite parts was attending an FC Barcelona game and using that experience for a class project. It made the class more interactive and helped me learn about marketing from a different cultural perspective.

While abroad, I engaged with the local community by exploring different neighborhoods, trying local restaurants and cafés, attending events, and interacting with people throughout Barcelona. I also made an effort to practice Spanish whenever I could and learn more about the culture through my classes and everyday experiences. Living in Barcelona for several months helped me feel more connected to the city and experience it beyond just being a tourist.
