My favorite class I took abroad was the 'Crime in the London Underworld' course. I absolutely loved learning about the Gangs of Soho and the inner workings of London's underworld operations and the large history behind them. I really liked when we did field walks/tours of the London city and got to see and stand right next to where some of these important historical events took place. I was definitely able to learn lots through this engaging and interactive class!

While in London, I engaged with the local community by visiting various shops and markets of all sizes. I made an effort to talk to the locals and get to know their background and their lives in London. When with my friends from school, we'd take the time to go on historical tours and from there we'd connect with locals  who loved telling us more about the land and culture!
