WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
I loved both of my two classes, Latin American Culture and Argentinian Literature. I was given opportunities daily to listen, speak, and learn in Spanish to help improve my overall experience abroad. We were also able to have a ton of walking tours with our class that helped me to see and explore areas of the city I would have never seen while hearing background information that really helps to build an appreciation and further knowledge of Buenos Aires.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
I had the opportunity to live in a homestay with my host mom who was an amazing lady who greatly helped me to navigate Buenos Aires and learn to live in a new place. I also found that I was able to meet locals around my age on the streets and in bars/restaurants and was able to make new friends that way. Finally, I was able to go into local restaurants and shops and have small conversations with the owners and employees to learn a bit more about the city or at least their area.
