HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
When going abroad, I wanted to stay true to my values of community service and find ways to make a difference in the community I lived in. One of the ways I did this was partaking in volunteer work that I became aware of through CEA CAPA. One of these opportunities was volunteering at Calthorpe Community Garden in London. I helped set up a culture fest, as well as distribute products and clean up any litter in the garden. This made me feel fulfilled, as I knew I was making a difference in the community that was my new home.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class abroad was London Museums. This class had an alternating class format--meaning we would have one week in class, and one week spent visiting different London museums. This allowed me to see endless artworks, learn about the inner workings of museums, and explore new places. All of these museums were free as well, which meant I could visit them whenever I wanted afterwards. This class really expanded my enjoyment of the arts, and allowed me to explore and become enchanted by the city of London.
