My favorite class abroad was cognitive psychology. Europe has a completely different perspective on Psychology compared to America, with different legislation, diagnostic criteria, and associations. It was so fascinating being able to learn about Psychology from this different perspective. I gained so much knowledge and exposure that I would not have experienced otherwise.

I tried to talk to every local I encountered while abroad. I participated in a CEA CAPA faciliated program where I was connected with a local trying to learn English. This local and I met many times and explored Barcelona together while he taught me Spanish and I taught him English. I tried to make connections with many of the business owners around my apartment, as I was going to be interacting with them often over the next 4 months. All of these approaches to the locals were successful, and I learned so much from them.
