Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I chose to study abroad because I wanted to learn Spanish! I'm from New Mexico, where many people speak Spanish, and I wanted to better connect with my community. I also want to be a physician, and being able to communicate with more patients is a huge priority for me.

What IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
I'm hoping to get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. Learning a new language is hard, but I'm hoping to challenge my perfectionism this semester and make lots of mistakes along the way.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU'RE PASSIONATE AND EXCITED ABOUT?
I'm super passionate about medicine, activism, and their intersection, especially as it relates to young people. I also love all things sports and outdoors.

What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I'm looking forward to my medical Spanish class! I'm hoping to take back some language skills I can use throughout the rest of my educational journey.
