DESCRIPTION

Whether you are a fine artist, graphic designer, writer, filmmaker, photographer, entrepreneur, or student from another discipline entirely, at some point we all face the same challenge: how do we present ourselves and our work professionally and meaningfully to others?

This course is designed for students who wish to develop, organise, package, and present theircreative ideas, projects, and professional identity. While the class will naturally appeal to students within the visual arts and creative disciplines, it is intentionally interdisciplinary and open to students from all programmes. Whether you are preparing an artistic portfolio, promoting a creative project, developing a publication, presenting a business idea, or simply exploring your creative potential, this class offers a supportive environment to help you move those ideas forward.

Many students have creative ambitions, unfinished projects, or ideas they have always wanted to pursue but never found the time or structure to develop. This course aims to provide that opportunity. Together, we will explore how creative practice, presentation, communication, and professional identity intersect across disciplines.

Artists must present and promote their work and exhibitions. Writers may package their ideas through books, editorial formats, or digital publications. Designers communicate visually through branding and presentation systems. Business students often need to pitch ideas, proposals, or ventures through compelling visual materials and presentations. In all of these cases, design and presentation skills play a vital role. This class therefore focuses not only on making work, but also on understanding how to communicate that work effectively to different audiences.
