Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I chose to study abroad because I wanted to challenge myself to learn in an entirely different way. Studying abroad allows me to not only continue my academic studies, but enhances my role as a global citizen. I chose to study in San José, Costa Rica because of the health sciences program offered. I was also intrigued by the natural beauty of Costa Rica’s rainforests and beaches.

What IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
I’m hoping that I will be able to see the Nicoya region of Costa Rica, which is one of the world’s blue zones.

What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I’m excited to learn Spanish and use what I learn in the classroom in my everyday life. This will be beneficial for my future career in healthcare.

WHAT IS SOMETHING you're passionate and excited about? 
One of my interests is fitness and wellness. I’m interested to see how I will be able to take care of my physical and mental health while abroad. I want to remain grounded and present during my study abroad experience, and I’m excited to try new ways of moving my body, like yoga. There is a huge wellness culture in Costa Rica that I’m excited to learn about.
