WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class I took abroad was The Food and Culture of Italy. In class, we learned about Italy's food systems and food processes, and discussed how Italians experience meals, food, and how it intertwines with their culture. Additionally, through this class we were able to try local Italian cuisines and learn about how important food is to Italian culture. We learned about cheeses, wines, different meals, and different regions.
WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
Often when reflecting about my experience and time studying abroad I talk about how much my perspective on my personal life and well as my global perspective shifted. I feel more confident in myself, I feel more independent, and believe I understand a multitude of global perspectives, after studying abroad.
