I met local Florentine students, tried a cooking class for authentic Tuscan food, and practiced using Italian to communicate with the locals.
WHAT'S ONE STORY OR IMPORTANT ASPECT YOU ALWAYS TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR TIME ABROAD?
With Florence being a walkable city, I was able to see new sights and the beauty of the city every single day. The world really felt like your oyster. My daily walks included reading Dante's cantos, seeing the Duomo, and walking to the Boboli gardens.
