DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
I attended the same café every day in between classes, and became familiar with the owners and the workers there. I also frequently attended the same local bar and became friends with the bartenders that worked there. Another big way I engaged with the community was playing pickup basketball at a nearby park with locals my age.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My international business class was possibly the best class I have ever taken in school. Uniquely, due to the abnormally small size of my program, myself and two of my roommates were the only students in the class. This allowed for an extremely engaging and collaborative learning environment, and daily excursions to chat over coffee or walk through the city. My professor was amazing all around, and taught us important business skills as well as global geopolitical knowledge.
