WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
Digital Marketing was my favorite class while abroad because our professor challenged us to create a company and develop the different aspects of the marketing for it, throughout the semester. It was really fun for us to design and come up with whatever we wanted and share it with our classmates throughout the semester.

HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
While abroad, a goal of mine was to live like a local! I know many people probably say this but I truly feel like I was able to do this. I made to sure to frequent the same clothing stores, grocery shop, and local restaurant throughout my time abroad. My roommates and I would return to one restaurant in particular. We would go after class, before dinner, or go out to just to meet or have conversation with the locals. We would go in, order a Coca-Cola and socialize! I became friends with the owner, waiters, and neighbors that came through just by talking to them so much. It really helped me practice my Spanish and learn about the people in the community. It made it feel like we had our own little neighborhood group! Other times I would visit with my cousin in her neighborhood further outside the city center and meet her friends for dinner or lunch, and eventually I became friends with them too! I also tried to connect with people whenever I could, whether that was in a store or restaurant! Any chance to have a conversation with someone would always be a great insight into Spanish life, even if it was only them helping me with my Spanish practice.
