Laura joined CEA CAPA in 2025 as a Custom Program Developer, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in international and higher education. Laura works collaboratively with institutional partners and international teams to develop impactful custom programs. Prior to CEA CAPA, Laura served in roles specializing in institutional relations, student health and safety, and program management at the School for International Training (SIT) and CIEE. She also previously worked in the Bowdoin College Education Department managing student field placements in public schools across Maine. Early in her career Laura gained international work experience as the onsite Student Affairs Manager at the School for Field Studies in Australia and coordinating a faculty-led field school in the Solomon Islands.
Laura was drawn to a career in international education because of her own transformative global experiences, studying abroad in New Zealand and Samoa and working in London. She holds an M.A. in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute, an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a B.A. in Geography from the University of Colorado Boulder. Laura is based in Maine and loves all outdoor pursuits, especially skiing and kayaking, and going on road trips and other adventures with her family and their yellow lab, Ruby.
