WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?
My favorite class was Food & Culture in Italy. I loved that this class allowed for hands-on experiences like wine tastings, food-pairings in class and at local markets. I genuinely learned so much about the Italian food culture and how they grocery shop for meals at home.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
I engaged with locals when dining out at restaurants with friends. The dining culture is so different in Italy than it is in the USA. We spent time getting to know the staff taking care of us during our meals and came to be on a first name basis with our favorite pizzeria.
