WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?

My favorite class while abroad was Marketing Analytics. It was a great course that included a semester-long project where I was able to put into practice everything I had learned throughout my studies. I especially enjoyed taking this class while being abroad because it merged both of my majors, Marketing and Business Analytics, into a single, highly applicable course. The class also broadened my perspective on how businesses operate outside of the United States. A highlight was the field trip to the headquarters of Emplifi, which gave me real-world insight into how companies use data and digital marketing analytics to guide strategic decisions. Learning how Emplifi evaluates everything from creative content to data insights and performance analytics made the concepts we studied feel tangible and impactful, and it’s a company I would genuinely love to work for in the future. Overall, the Marketing Analytics course was essential to my personal and academic growth. It reinforced the idea that numbers go beyond being just quantifiable figures; they tell meaningful stories that drive business strategy.

HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?

While studying abroad in Prague, I made an effort to connect with the local environment. I tried to learn and use basic Czech words and phrases in everyday situations, such as ordering food or navigating public transportation. I also engaged with the local community by exploring neighborhoods, visiting local cafés and shops, and experiencing Czech culture through daily interactions and cultural sites, which helped me better understand life in Prague beyond the classroom.
