Why did you choose to shadow abroad?
I chose to shadow abroad because I wanted to expand my horizons and broaden my mindset to the world of healthcare around the world. I am a pre-med student and wanted the opportunity to shadow doctors, and what better place to do that than in Rome, Italy! The culture, the food, and the people have always attracted me and I loved the idea of doing something I am interested in, in a city that I am attracted to.

What IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
I hope to experience weekend backpacking trips in Europe. I have never just gotten a group of friends together and gone on a side quest, so this should be fun! I am also excited to see all the different specialties that the hospital has to offer and hopefully I get to see what a general physician's day in the life is like as that is what I aspire to be when I graduate.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU'RE PASSIONATE AND EXCITED ABOUT? I love what I am studying (medicine) and I am excited to learn more about the practiced of it, rather than just the textbook stuff. Outside of school I love to volunteer around my community, go on hikes/walks, go to the gym, play sports, cook and bake, and plan events or organize spaces.
