WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY?

My favorite class abroad was Introduction to Fashion Marketing. The class was taught in a store selling pieces made by FUA students and second hand clothing, which gave us a unique opportunity to observe firsthand how retail differs between Italy and the United States. We analyzed brands that are especially relevant to Italian culture such as Dolce & Gabbana and visited luxury storefronts around Florence to discuss the marketing strategies behind their window displays.

DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
Getting involved with CIS planned activities! Some of my favorites were the perfume making workshop and the Arno River cruise. These were ways for me to interact with Florence locals, learn about their areas of expertise and about the history of the city.
