Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
When I first moved to Tampa for college, I was met with an influx of diversity and new cultures. Some of my best friends came from international locations and many spoke Spanish. I started learning Spanish on my own and have been learning for the past 2.5 years. I chose Barcelona to refine my skills and be fully immersed in Spanish culture.

What IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
While abroad, I hope to fully familiarize myself with public transportation. Both my hometown in Ohio and university in Tampa lack public transportation. As a sustainability and environmental studies student, I am very excited to see the benefits of this being implemented successfully.

What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I am most looking forward to taking my beginner-level Spanish class. I have never taken a formal language class in college and took Latin in high school. I want to be able to communicate effectively while in Barcelona.

WHAT IS SOMETHING you're passionate and excited about? 
I am very passionate about sustainability and all things zero-waste! I also love playing soccer and singing. I hope to experience lots of hikes and new cities, and maybe even catch a musical theatre production somewhere.
