Why did you choose to study/intern abroad?
I've always known studying abroad NEEDED to be a part of my college experience because traveling and experiencing other cultures has been important to me since I was little. I come from the small, close-knit hometown of Davidson, North Carolina, and my bustling college town of Athens, Georgia, but I knew there was more out there for me to discover. So, here I am! Let the adventure begin :)

Why did you choose your study/intern city?
Seville has EVERYTHING! It's not too metropolitan and not too small, so I can experience an authentic Spanish atmosphere while also getting to know the community around me. The quaint neighborhoods and city squares enticed me the moment I hit that Google search button, and the culture in Spain has always fascinated me when it comes to food and music, specifically.

What are you most looking forward to during your abroad experience?
Whew, that's a hard one. Interning at an awesome start-up coming as their Global Editor, traveling to other European cities on the weekends, my "Photography in Seville" class, getting to know my flatmates, becoming more fluent in Spanish... I guess I'd have to say EVERYTHING!

Fun Fact (hobbies, interests, accomplishment, etc.)?
One fun fact about me is that my dream job is actually to host my own talk show one day. Lofty, I know... but I have always been mesmerized by the way these brilliant, larger-than-life personalities can captivate audiences night after night with their wit and humor, a combination I would love to master. As for hobbies, I have always loved to sing and play the guitar! I perform at an open mic sometimes at this little coffee shop in my hometown and will never stop fantasizing about what it feels like to sing on stage in front of thousands of people (if it's not already obvious, Hannah Montana and The Cheetah Girls were my absolute idols growing up). One of my proudest accomplishments happened when I was just 14. I came up with an idea for my own television segment when I was a freshman in high school and pitched it to local broadcast stations in Charlotte, NC... and it worked! For the past five years, I've been appearing monthly with the segment I created (and now co-produce) called "From a Kid's Perspective," where I aim to bridge the gap between parents and their kids with topics ranging from social media safety to gun control.
