Why did you choose to study or intern abroad?
I have lived in Michigan my entire life, and I wanted to gain perspective, learn about culture, and test myself. I chose France because I have been studying the French language for six years and wanted to continue that study. Before I dedicate my life to telling the world's stories, I want to see it.

What IS ONE NEW EXPERIENCE YOU'RE HOPING TO HAVE WHILE ABROAD?
I hope to stretch my comfort zone with lots of international travel. I love to localize myself and experience the community of a place, but I rarely leave my city square. I don't just want to see France, I want to see Germany, Italy, and Spain too (to name a few).

What CLASS ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO TAKING while ABROAD?
I'm so excited to take a sports elective and play rugby in France. There isn't nearly as big a rugby community in the US as there is in Europe. I just know I will be able to make some great connections by joining such a team-oriented sport.

WHAT IS SOMETHING you're passionate and excited about? 
I absolutely love singing. I may never do it professionally, but I can't bring myself to stop. I keep making bands that last two months, signing up for talent shows, and singing in the street. Also, I played rugby for six years and really like the sport itself. I've already gone to a few local games here in France that were so much fun! Finally, I really like learning a language. With how intensive this language program is, I can see my skills growing every day. It's a very cool experience.
