An Architectural History of Paris was my favorite class while abroad. Our class instruction consisted of field trips every other day and lectures on the other days. This was super cool since the field trips were to places people wouldn't normally visit during their vacation to Paris. Therefore, I got to discover some hidden gems and gain an understanding of the rich history of the architecture in Paris.

While abroad, I made a huge effort to speak to the locals. I am fortunate enough to speak French, so I could easily communicate with everyone I encountered. I did my best to make small talk with shop owners, baristas, and servers and I asked for recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. I also met locals when I was out exploring the city, made friends with them, and still talk to them every single day despite not being abroad anymore!
