Alex Woolner, Director of Health & Safety

Alex (she/they) has been working in international education for 19 years, the past 11 of which have been at CIS Abroad on the International Operations team. She holds a Master of Arts degree in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute. Originally, Alex studied abroad in the French Alps, and she is also an alum of the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF). Alex has lived and worked in China and South Korea. Alex has been known to plan travel around the best recommendations for street food and immersive museum experiences, and deep down is a huge linguistics nerd. In her spare time, Alex participates in community activism through art, repairs vintage typewriters, rolls for initiative, and explores the wilds of her home state of Massachusetts with her goodest dog, Fred.
