Study Abroad with SUNY and CEA CAPA

CEA CAPA's semester and summer programs provide all SUNY students with the opportunity to earn SUNY credit while living and learning abroad. Students take courses at study centers and live with other U.S. students in shared apartments throughout the city or in a homestay.

CEA CAPA partners with two SUNY schools to offer programs in a variety of destinations. Depending on which program you are interested in, you will work with either the Binghamton University Office of International Education or the SUNY Oswego Education Abroad Office.

Application Process

The application process differs between Binghamton University programs and SUNY Oswego programs. See below for each university's application process with CEA CAPA!

SUNY Oswego Programs

Students will apply directly on CEA CAPA’s website. Once accepted, CEA CAPA will share their information with the SUNY Oswego Education Abroad Office.

  1. Login or create a CEA CAPA Account to apply for a program.
  2. In the CEA CAPA Account, under "My Application", click on "Start Application" and submit the form including the intended program destination, term, and program.
  3. After submitting your application, CEA CAPA will share the applicant's information with SUNY Oswego.
  4. The applicant will then be directed to create a SUNY Oswego account, submit the program deposit, and complete SUNY Oswego requirements. Submission of the program deposit confirms their placement in the program
  5. All students should locate and review their desired program brochure on the SUNY Oswego Education Abroad website, paying special attention to program costs.
  6. Please schedule a meeting (in-person or virtually) with the CEA CAPA SUNY Oswego Program Coordinator.
