Program Structure & Courses

In our signature experiential pre-law course, Contemporary Issues in Law: Pre-Law International Immersion¸ you’ll prepare for law firm visits and legal excursions through readings and assignments designed to deepen your understanding of the topics covered.  Guided by your faculty member, you’ll have the unique opportunity to engage directly with practicing lawyers from the host country in various types of firms.

In addition to your 3-credit pre-law immersive studies course, you will choose 1 additional CEA CAPA course to take.  This provides you with the opportunity to gain specific pre-law exposure while also making progress toward your degree.

Courses meet for 45 contact hours/3 credits. Overall, you may earn 6 credits. CEA CAPA courses meet Monday through Thursday.

Prior to departure, you will select your preferred courses. You will be enrolled into courses based on their availability. It is in your best interest to have multiple alternative courses approved by your home university prior to your departure due to course availabilities. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.
