About the Program

Program Description

Delve into European Union politics, economics, and history and take an introductory German course in dynamic Berlin. This summer program allows you to explore the challenges and opportunities of globalization in an international setting. Courses are taught in English, and you’ll attend class with students from around the world for a truly integrated experience. Each week, you'll explore various topics, including challenges faced by EU businesses, the EU’s role in international trade, how the EU addresses environmental issues, and the implications of globalization on the European workforce. Visits to sites like German parliament, the European Bank, and science and technology parks enhance your learning experience.

Program Structure

You'll enroll in 4 business and global studies courses and 1 German language course. Courses meet for 20 contact hours/1 credit for a total of 100 contact hours/5 credits over a 4-week term.

Business and economics courses meet daily Monday-Friday, while language courses meet twice per week.

You’ll register for courses after your arrival to Berlin. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval.
