About the Program
Study and intern in one of world’s major economic centers. Learn about Asian-Pacific trade and the culture of a Global City’s work environment, both in the classroom and at your internship site. Explore and engage in international business, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Australia’s global business hub, both in the classroom and through an optional for-credit Global Internship. Choose courses and an optional internship in general business, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, and marketing, plus take courses across the full CAPA Sydney Global Cities curriculum in disciplines such as business, history, and global studies. If you choose to participate in an internship, you'll acquire useful professional skills for your future career, enhance your classroom experience, connect with locals, and improve your resume.

- Must be a degree-seeking undergraduate student in the US (Canada or Mexico if eligible)
Choose courses and an optional internship in general business, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, and marketing, plus take courses across CAPA's Global City curriculum in disciplines such as business, history, and global studies. Overall, you’ll enroll in 4-5 CAPA courses. Elective courses meet for 45 contact hours/3 credits, the internship course meets for 45-90 contact hours/3-6 credits. Earn 12-15 credits.
CAPA Center courses meet Monday through Thursday.
Prior to departure, you will select your preferred courses. You will be enrolled into courses based on their availability. It is in your best interest to have multiple alternative courses approved by your home university prior to your departure due to course availabilities. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.
A transcript from the University of Minnesota is awarded upon successful completion of the program.

Get out and explore! Excursions are offered for most semester, year, and summer programs*. Semester students are typically offered between two to three excursions and summer study students are typically offered between one to two excursions. You'll receive a calendar of excursions during orientation; here are a few day and overnight excursions we've offered in the past.
Visit the dazzling Blue Mountains and Featherdale National Park where you can get up close and personal with kangaroos and koalas.
This excursion includes an overnight stay with dinner inside the Taronga Zoo.
