DESCRIPTION
The topics treated in this course include the function of financial markets, analyses of risk and return, time value of money, valuation of financial assets (stocks, bonds, derivatives), capital structure, capital budgeting and other select corporate finance topics. The principal focus is on those aspects of analysis that are most used by decision-makers, and most useful to students.
Additionally, the course covers investigative techniques, such as reading 10K's and other public filings in order to ascertain opportunity, risk, and return; valuation methodologies such as comparable company analysis and discounted cash flow; financial research and qualitative investigations of company managements.
