DESCRIPTION
The course will analyze the aspects of the Economic Integration, globalization and conditions for a successful integration between economies and the effects of free trade in the region as well as the effects of protectionism. There will be a special treatment on foreign investments and joint ventures in the Latin America. The course will focus on Latin American region and its Commercial blocs including Caricom in the Caribbean Islands, Mercomun in Centro America, Mercosur in South America, NAFTA in North America and US commercial initiative of the Free Trade Area of Americas (FTAA) and CAFTA as part of this project.
