DESCRIPTION
This module will develop the student's knowledge and understanding of the metabolic responses and adaptations to acute and chronic exercise. In particular it will focus on fuel utilization during endurance and short duration high intensity exercise; as well as chronic adaptations. The impact on nutritional requirements will be explored, and the evidence supporting the use of nutritional strategies in optimizing performance and training will be evaluated.
